When is the best time to
photograph my newborn?
Newborn sessions are most commonly an in home session. I will check out your home for the best natural light and the majority of the session will take place in this room, soft natural light produces beautiful images. If you feel your home is on the darker side just remember all I need is one window with natural light to photograph your newborn session.
In home newborn sessions usually run for 2-3hrs this allows plenty of time for breast or bottle feeds, enough time to get your newborn settled and plenty of drink and snack breaks while still creating a nice relaxed atmosphere.
It's never too early to book in a newborn session, sessions can book out quickly around your preferred date, so get in touch and I will send you all the information you need to get the process started. A $150 deposit is required to secure your session (I will put your due date in my calendar and allow a few week window as babies tend to have a schedule of there own.)
The first 7-10 days after birth is the best time to photograph your newborn for some sleepy snuggly photos, as this is the age in which they spend the most time sleeping. Babies tend to mimic the curled up position they are used to in the womb allowing easier positioning. After this time babies are more alert but still gorgeous to photograph so don't let this small detail deter you from booking in a session now your baby is here.

Oh Jennah I'd be lying if I said I didn't sit and sob through the entire slide show. You are PHENOMENAL and I am completely obsessed with every photo. Thank you doesn't do it justice but I don't have any words. So thank you, thank you, thank you. The photos are absolute perfection and we are SO grateful for you! (I'd give more than 5 stars if I were allowed xx)
